Extraterrestrial Life:Chapter 1

British Scientist Sir 'Stephen Hawking' is worried that any extraterrestrial life we find is likely to be a creature out of the movie 'Predator'.

What is Extraterrestrial life?

Extra means 'beyond' and terrestrial means 'belongs to the earth'.So altogether,it means 'Life beyond the Earth".

Many Scientists disagree with this theory but many others won't stop looking for them beyond the Earth.Scientists are trying to find out, if the stars have earth-like planets which has life on it.In a Discovery channel documentary, Dr. Hawking suggested that with 100 billion galaxies in the universe,it seems perfectly rational that aliens exist.While they are most probably microorganisms or basic animals,he suggests the threat posed by intelligent life forms,if they exist, could make reaching out of them to be a little risky.I would personally quote that "Ignoring the threat and waiting for them to find us,is not a good idea."

Martha Haynes-Astronomer at Cornell University,New York quotes "Technology will continue to progress and we will surely see major breakthroughs in the next 5 years"Today, we are in a position to learn a lot more about what else might be out therein the cosmos and in particular we are on the verge of finding planets planets which might support the existence of life forms says Dr. Haynes who adds that a new planet is discovered everyday.

Techniques for detecting Earth-like planetsare enhancing everyday.I suppose an exclusive new range of smarter telescopes will  be able to rule over almost 100s of planets.Though,we need to agree with Sir Hawking that the majority of alien life won't be intelligent like us,most argue potential benifits of not reaching out far, outweighs the risks of doing nothing.

However, David E Pitchard, a Physics professor at Massachusetts Institute of technology says that "Aliens that we contact are likely to be far in advance of us and may well have the capability to find out a great about us.Even if we don't formally contact with them".So, I think talking would be okay.Moreover,it could be very interesting.

In some state of mind,I feel that this is not a big deal.Suppose an alien would come down to Earth,shook your hand,and take your sister for a date.Will you still doubt their existence.I don't understand that why people are not ready to deal with the existence of Aliens.We'd rather talk about Kim Kardashian,Peter North or Shahrukh Khan .That's why i think the aliens haven't come out of their spaceships and poked us.

We are still babies, and yet we have to learn how to walk with them.         

        

Subject: NASA predicts total blackout on 23-25 Dec 2012 during alignment of Universe.

US scientists predict Universe change, total blackout of planet for 3 days from Dec 23 2012. 

It is not the end of the world, it is an alignment of the Universe, where the Sun and the earth will align for the 

first time. The earth will shift from the current third dimension to zero dimension, then shift to the forth 

dimension. During this transition, the entire Universe will face a big change, and we will see a entire brand new 

world.. 

The 3 days blackout is predicted to happen on Dec 23, 24, 25....during this time, staying calm is most important, hug 

each other, pray pray pray, sleep for 3 nights...and those who survive will face a brand new world....for those not 

prepared, many will die because of fear. Be happy, enjoy every moment now. Don't worry, pray to God everyday. There 

is a lot of talk about what will happen in 2012, but many people don't believe it, and don't want to talk about it 

for fear of creating fear and panic. We don't know what will happen, but it is worth listening to USA's NASA talk about preparation.

But the truth is something else:

Analysis: its False. NASA has predicted no such thing. There will be no three-day blackout in December 2012. Indeed, the phrases used  — "total blackout of planet," "alignment of the universe," "shift from the current third dimension to zero dimension," etc. — are not only undefined, but meaningless. It's pseudo-scientific nonsense.The "alignment" to which our unknown authors apparently refer is the passing of the sun, as seen from earth, across the approximate center of our galaxy on December 21, 2012 (the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere). This happens every year at about the same time and portends nothing in terms of earthly events — good or ill — given that the galactic center is some 28,000 light years (165,000 trillion miles) away. It's a cosmic non-event.It so happens there's a super-massive black hole at the center of the galaxy, and, as everyone knows, black holes are mysterious and scary, so purveyors of 2012 doomsday scenarios have used this as an excuse to spread fears that the aforementioned "alignment" may in fact wreak physical havoc here on earth, somehow. But again, we're talking about a cosmic entity unimaginably far away from our planet and a galactic alignment that occurs every year like clockwork, and has throughout all human existence.
